Degree & Programs
The Administration of Justice program is to meet the growing need for skilled employees in the criminal justice field by providing practical and technical training. It also offers current employees the chance to enhance their skills through specialized courses that align with their professional and academic interests. These courses cover criminal law, evidence, investigations, community service officer training, and court operations. Upon completing an associate degree or certificate from San Jose City College, students can pursue career opportunities as city police officers, deputy sheriffs, highway patrol officers, or correctional officers. Other potential career paths include dispatchers, corrections officers, community service officers, crime scene investigators, and positions within the court system. Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify how the U.S. Constitution applies to the actions and conduct of peace officers.
